RBC copy: Signatures: Ap8s Bp4s [$4 signed (-Ab1s -Bb4s)]. Inscription in ink manuscript at head of title: "Ex Lib. Congr. Sem. Jes. et Mariµ / Cadom." [seminary of the Congregatio Jesu et Mariae, Caen, France; known as the Eudists; order founded Caen, 1643]. A majority of entries (more than 60) have a double set of linear ink markings, one in the left margin of the first line of the entry, and one in the right margin of the last line of the entry, to the right of its price notation. Bibliotháeque nationale copies also have linear ink markings. UNC-Chapel Hill and Newberry copies may represent an earlier impression than Bibliotháeque nationale copies; cmp. possible type squashes (Ab2s, Ab6sr), and price differences (Ab5sv, Ab7sv). Binding: antique calf; gilt-stamped arabesque decoration in center of each cover; frame of fillets in blind and gilt on covers; spine gilt; dentelle work on board edges; red morocco spine label; spine title: Libri officina.
