Early in the year 2007 a certain Mycelius Reizker founds a new political party, Gründnis 07/Die Blasen, which he represents in the German Federal Parliament. Shortly thereafter, he receives from Narem, Saxony, a letter from Adolf Bitterling, announcing his intention to take his entire family to Afghanistan on a vacation trip. Thus begins a spirited correspondence which lasts until July 1, 2008, when "it ends in a catastrophe."
