Goff F-239
Haebler, K. Bib. ibérica, II, 277 (3) (Santiago, Juan de Bobadilla?)
Vindel, F. Arte tipográfico, VIII, p. xiv, p. 8 (Castille, 1472-1475)
"Livre unique," according to the description in L. Rosenthal's Katalog 135, item 842.
Imprint from Goff. Haebler (Geschichte des spanischen Frühdrucks, 1923, p. 237) states a certain similarity in types with those used by Alvaro de Castro at Huete, but his books have printed signatures. Castro worked with Juan de Bobadilla in Santiago in 1483, but the rather primitive type rules out such a late date. On the other hand, the floriated lombards preclude the early 1470's. G.D. Painter in a letter to F.R. Goff dated Dec. 28, 1964, expresses the opinion that the work was printed probably in the second half of the 1470's and Seville might be a likely guess for the place of printing.
