Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in ca. late 19th-/early 20th-century black morocco double panelled in blind over bevelled boards. The title is stamped in gilt on the spine and the binding is signed "Hammond" on the lower turn-in of the front cover. All text block edges are gilt. The armorial bookplate of Michael Tomkinson (Ex libris Michaelis Tomkinson, Franche Hall, Worcestershire) is present on the front pastedown, as is the bookplate of the BPL Benton Fund. This copy is heavily annotated throughout in an early, ca. 16th-century secretary hand or hands. Bibliographical inscriptions with respect to William Caxton and Wynkyn de Worde, both in the same, later hand, are present on each colophon leaf. An early ownership inscription ("Sum Joannis Boule et Amicoru[m] // Boule olim dict[um] Ba[mfylde?]") is present at the head of 2A2. On the same leaf, another early inscription, reading, "John Bamfy[lde?]" is also present. In this copy, all three blank leaves (2A1, 2c8, and D4) are wanting.
