Binding: 19th-century tan paper, vellum back & corners. Spine tooled in gilt, with author & title in gilt on green label. Page edges sprinkled red. Red ribbon place marker.

Centered on front pastedown is woodcut bookplate (image of Pegasus, motto "nec adversa retorquent," initials GPC). Ownership inscription on recto of 1st page (Caroli de ?Calupiris [1 word] in Civitate Aven). Red stamp on t.p. with initials COG, surmounted by a coronet.
