Frontispiece shows the equestrian statue in place in St. Peter's portico: Augustinus Cornacchini invenit; Ioan. Bat̃t̃a Brughi delineavit; Ianuarius Guttierrez inc. scul. Romae. The bas relief shown on the pedestal was never produced. 47 initials and vignettes with the text, engraved by C. G. (Carlo Grandi?) after "Sebast. Concha" (historiated initials), "Vincenzo Francescchini" after Domenico Campiglia (baroque initials), Gaspar Massi after Io. Bapt̃ Brughi (vignettes, head pieces). Finis, Typis Io. M.ae Salvioni.

Following the dedicatory text (2 p.) and the Relazione (6 p.) are 40 sonnetti, "... che unisca alcuni Componimenti Poetici venuti alle mie mani da diverse Accademie d'Italia, che celebrano lo scoprimento di cosi nobil lavoro ..." --Relazione, p. 6.

Despite the imprint, the Relazione was funded by the Vatican. Cf. Wittkower.
