Edition Notes

Holograph.

This manuscript was presumably written by Maria Weston Chapman, and consists of notes pertaining to the meetings of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, from Aug. 16, 1838 to May 20, 1839. It is apparently a rough draft, with marginal notes. The notes are mainly about financial arrangements with the American Anti-Slavery Society. It mentions a vote regarding to the "new paper contemplated," and the resignations of Alanson St. Clair and Amos Augustus Phelps.
