The Pennsylvania hermit
a narrative of the most extraordinary life of Amos Wilson, who expired in a cave in the neighbourhood of Harrisburgh, (Penn.) after having therein lived in solitary retirement for the space of nineteen years, in consequence of the ignominious death of his sister : annexed is the writings of Wilson, while a recluse, and his reasons for preferring a state of solitude to that of the society of his fellow-beings.
