Words by Stephen Foster (verses 1-5, 8-9) and Morrison Foster (verses 6-7) to be sung to tune the Cockney ballad "Villikins and his Dinah." Never published complete with the music.
Includes text of the work, in an unidentified hand, with the caption "The great baby show, or, The abolition show?, a few lines of melody (handwritten), a short handwritten note by Stephen Foster to his brother Morrison, and a copy of an untitled 1896 article, from an unidentified newspaper, with the text of the work, commemorating the the first publication of the words to "The greath baby show, or, The abolition show" in the Pittsburgh post on Sept. 26, 1856.
