Edition Notes

The t.p. is a cancel; the work is actually that printed by P. Hanet in 1723 with Harris's t.p. added; Harris was in business from 1741-1745.

The first three parts are translated from Le triomphe hermetique, sometimes ascribed to Limojon de Saint-Didier (cf. ESTC).

"The name of the author in Latin is in this anagram. Dives sicut ardens S*."--P. 147. ESTC suggests Sanctus Didiereus (i.e. Limojon de Saint-Didier).

The ancient war of the knights is a translation from the French version (by Limojon de Saint-Didier) of a Latin translation of the German original: Uralter Ritter-Krieg (cf. ESTC).

"A letter to the true disciples of Hermes" is also by Limojon de Saint-Didier.

ESTC N17477.
