An essay on woman, and other pieces
printed at the private press in Great George-street, Westminster, in 1763, and now reproduced in fac-simile from a copy believed to be unique, to which are added, Epigrams and miscellaneous poems now first collected, by the Right Hon. John Wilkes... Preceded by an introductory narrative of the extraordinary circumstances connected with the prosecution of the author in the House of lords, digested and compiled from contemporary writers.

Published 1871 by Priv. print. [by J. C. Hotten] in London .
Written in English.

Edition Notes

Text of poems printed in red.
With an appendix (p. [57]-263) of documents and contemporary accounts of Wilkes and others connected with the publication.

Facsimile of a reprint, as no original is known. Edited perhaps by H. S. Ashbee (cf H. Bleackley, Life of Wilkes, 1917, p. 437) For full discussion cf. H. R.
