Edition Notes

This meeting was a prepatory event to the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD/COP-8) and was held in Curitiba, Brazil, on March 15-19th, 2006, with the support of the Brazilian Government and several scientific organizations. Its objective was to identify the challenges now facing biodiversity science and to outline a strategy to address them.
