Workshop held in Burlington, Ontario, September 23-24, 1980. Sponsored by National Water Research Institute of Environment Canada and the National Research Council's Working Group on Hydraulics of ice covered rivers. Additional resistance to flow caused by the presence of ice in a stream formed the theme of this workshop. Sessions included complete and partial ice cover, ice jams, frazil ice and hanging dams, and modelling.
