A plea for the reform of the charities instituted under the will of Owen Jones, and corruptly administered by the City livery companies.

Pt. 2 has continuous register, but separate titlepage and pagination: 'An occasional supplement to the appendix chiefly of plain reasons for a general reform of our charities', London: printed for John Stockdale, 1797.

Pt. 3 contains: 'A free translation of the Latin and French quotations in the occasional supplement for the use of our antagonists'.

Pt. 4 contains: 'An occasional address for the most serious consideration of the trustees to Mr. Owen Jones's charity, .. '.

Pt. 5 contains: 'A copy of a letter to the bishop of Durham, .. ' signed: W. Massey, cl. (the postscript is dated: Dec. 1797).

Pt. 6 contains: 'To John Bowdler, Esq. author of Reform or ruin', dated at head: Chester Dee-Bank June 1798, and signed: Wm. Massey, cl.

Pt. 7 contains: 'A second letter to John Bowdler, Esq.', signed and dated: W. Massey. Aug. 1798.

Pt. 8 contains: 'Detach'd remarks, which it hath been found necessary to add by way of illustration; ..'.

Pts. 3-8 have drop-head titles.
