containing a curious and comprehensive review of English and Scottish history, concerning important events relative to the union of the two kingdoms-- commerce-- national independency-- and the grand cause of liberty: by which it is clearly demonstrated that the Scots nation (both in words and actions) hath always been strenuous and warm assertors of the liberties of the people: : likewise some observations on property-- revenue officers-- pensioners-- and rapacious courtiers.
