Less than five feet long, this animal lives in a 1,400 square mile area in the northernmost tip of the Gulf of California and was only discovered in the 1950s.The author, Aidan Bodeo-Lomicky lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and was born in 2000. He has been working on vaquita conservation since 2010 and runs a blog at http://vlogvaquita.com.
