interesting how they tell you when to sit and stand in the beginning of the book...I wonder if people read this and tries to act refined/ like the cartoon aristocracy illustrated in the margins...
gelatin is disgusting...weird food fad of the teens I guess...but these kind of bunk recipes I see in cookbooks from the 50s-70s too! yuck! yuck! I get sick to my stomach thinking about all the savory jelly dishes like the tomato jelly and cheese, the tuna and salmon jellies...how did they not all vomit into their plates? maybe they would also put gelatin into that and put it in a loaf
