Topics include her support of groups ranging from the World Affairs Council, the Institute of Pacific Relations, and Planned Parenthood, to the Nature Conservancy, and the Art and Ecology Institute; her family; World War II experiences, and Japanese relocation.
Supplementary material includes a letter written to her in-laws, [1939 or 1940?], a photocopy of her diary from a European trip, 1936-37, and miscellaneous biographical material, along with clippings and other material relating to the Gerbode Preserve/ Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and to the Oahu Development Conference and Diamond Head development issues. Also includes (in oversize folder) a manuscript musical score and words for the class song of Mt. Vernon Seminary, created and written by Martha Alexander Gerbode in 1928.
