Bound tête-bêche

Catalog of an exhibition held at Augustiniánsky klášter in Tábor (Czech Republic), July 31 - October 10, 2021

"The sculptors Blahutová & Svátek are a couple. They share not only their lives, but also analogies of topics of their free creation. Water, wind, shape and light are the shared motifs. The exhibition introduces their work from the second half of the 20th century until today. Barbora Blahutová present collages and assemblages from unusual materials (dry leaves, broken glass, cardboard, etc.), which she inserts in neat surfaces that give objects new sense and value dimensions. Her works are exhibited in the Ambit Gallery. František Svátek displays his kinetic water objects, models of wind and hydro-acoustic objects and drafts or photographs of stone meditative sculptures in the courtyard and the Ambit Gallery."--from colophon
