Arranged primarily by branch of scholarship (Libri theologici, Libri juridici, Libri medici ...), mixed with arrangement by size, repository, language. "Index alphabeticus autorum Bibliothecae" with ca. 5500 names (the [122] columns at end) covers the whole collection of ca. 11,000 books.
Engraved vignette on t.p.: a giant spruce cone (symbol of hard-to-reach learning) on pedestal, supported by two topless angels; motto "Honos erit huic quoque pomo."
Colophon (on last printed page): Augustae Vindelicorum excudebat Johannes Praetorius, MDCXXXIII, 5. Novemb. die S. Malachiae sacra ... Page includes woodcut device with crown on a pole, horn of plenty, olive branch, motto "Iusticia, pietas, hinc pax, tu[m] corda firm[antur?]," and "Eusebeia" in Greek capitals.
