National and State Historic Site, nuts-and-bolts advice on good renovation techniques and how to
preserve historic character, capped with an inside story of Ocean Grove residents’ pitched battle
to protect its historic fabric against the onslaught of fire, neglect, and developers in the 1980s.
This untold tale unfolds through a behind-the-scenes account by the author, a past president of
the Ocean Grove Home Owner’s Association and preservationist of that era.
