Samuel May, Jr., begins this letter by inviting Miss Weston to attend a meeting of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society, where the "main business relates to an account of Daniel Foster's, concerning which there is a difference of opinion between himself & me, ..." Samuel May mentions the Estlins' tour of Ireland. Russell Carpenter is to marry Mary Browne of Bridgewater. Samuel May attacks Frederick Douglass.
