Added t.p., engraved and illustrated: The grave : a poem by Blair with illustrations from designs by Wm. Blake. 1847.

Includes a dedicatory poem "To the Queen" by William Blake (p. [v]); an Advertisement to the London edition by R.H. Cromek (p. [vii]-viii); remarks by Henry Fuseli (p. ix-x); an essay entitled: Of the designs by B.H. Malkin (p. [35]-38); a Biographical sketch of Robert Blair ([xi]-xiii).

The plates are reduced to about a quarter of their original size and were re-engraved with the inscription "Wm Blake del., A.L. Dick sc." Plate 3, "The meeting of a Family in Heaven", was omitted, and the genitals of the naked gentlemen in plates 1 & 8 are decorously covered with filmy drapery.

Bound in black cloth, boards elaborately blind-stamped and gilt, with red wavy lines, as issued.
