Titlepages appear in two states all black and red and black.

The imprints in all volumes are the same; dates are in sequence, vols. 1-2 appearing in 1739, vols. 15-16 in 1750.

The first seven volumes of this set were completed by Rollin before his death; v.8 was 'Revised, since the death of the author" by Crevier; v.9 was "Revised, and compleated by Mr. Crevier"; vols. 10-16 "and last" were written by Crevier.
