NUC has note: 'Erroneously attributed to William Pittis by Halkett & Laing and the DNB as the result of a confusion of this work with one he wrote supporting it: 'The case of the Church of England's memorial fairly stated'. In the biographical preface toa 1711 edition of the present work, Drake is identified as the author, 'in concert with Mr. Poley, member of Parliament for Ipswich'' B.L. enters the 1705 edition under James Drake, M.D., assisted by Henry Pooley; H&L attributes to William Pittis, citingDNB. Percy copy cropped, with some loss of marginal glosses.
