About the Book

A novel written in a somewhat documentary form taken from the manuscripts of a 10th century Arab emissary. These manuscripts detailed his experiences among the tribes of Northern Europe that would come to be known as Vikings. What makes the book particularly interesting is the adventurous storyline that it follows. In todays vernacular a page turner. Also, one cannot help but gain an insight into the customs and mores of the 10th century even though, as is the case with most writings of a thousand years ago, there is much dispute about its accuracy. No matter. I thought it was a very good read.
