Adebesin Folarin

circa 1879 - 04th October 1949

My name is Tokunbo Ibukun Folarin and Adebesin Folarin was my grandfather and the author of a number of books one of which I have in my possesion titled ' The Laws and Customs of EGBA-LAND Part 1' (Printed by ENA printing press 1939), from which I was fortunate enough to obtain this rare photograph of him.

Adebesin Folarin qualified as a Barrister-at-Law in London, Lincoln’s Inn Middle Temple on 16th April 1913 recorded name Folarin, Josiah Fitzac. (Source: The Law List)

Adebesin Folarin was an Egba lawyer, and writer who was publisher of the short lived Egba National Harper and also wrote a few books on Egba history. In the 1930s, he was a judge at the Native Court of Appeal in Abeokuta, Nigeria. (Source: Nigerian WiKi)
