Dick Whyte

1978 -

Whyte has been making visual art since 1997 and has exhibited paintings, films and sculptures, in various galleries around New Zealand, including the Peter McLeavy Gallery, Artspace, The Physics Room, 91 Aro Street, DAF 106, the New Zealand Film Archive, and the NZ International Film Festival. They have been in numerous musical projects, including experimental trio Nova Scotia, and folk collective The Bent Folk, and also plays under the names Supercomposer, Dick Whyte, and most recently DKYT. Whyte's haiku poetry has been published in numerous journals around the world, including Simply Haiku, Roadrunner, Modern Haiku, Daily Haiku, 3Lights and Frogpond, and they were the editor of the haikai journal Haiku News.
