Marcello La Matina

Master's Degree in Greek Philology at the University of Palermo (Italy), 1981. Then, PhD in Philosophy of Language at Viadrina-Universität, Frankfurt/Oder (Germany) January 2001. He is now Associate Professor of Semiotics and Philosophy of Language, University of Macerata (Italy), Department of Human Studies (since 2002). At present, he studies the philosophy of language (both verbal and liturgical) developed by the Cappadocian Church Fathers (IV C. AC). Since the 90ths he devotes the core of his effort to sketching a theory for processing languages and forms-of-life. He preferably wrote about Greek literature, Greek philosophy and patristics; about theoretical semiotics and about the philosophy of music and of languages.
