Arnaldo Segarizzi

He is an Italian librarian and scholar, born in Avio (Trento, Italy), when this land was still part of Austro-Hungaric Empire. But he felt Italian and had collaborations together Cesare Battisti, an important Irredentist. After a bachelor in classical literature and language at the University of Padua he became librarian: first of all at the National Library Marciana in Venice, and then the director of the Querini-Stampalia Foundation's Library in Venice. Here he create the library catalog, a card catalogue. Thanks to his studies and experience he came back in Trento to adress the creation of the Public Library's card catalogue. He was an author in the journals "Tridentum" and "Nuovo Archivio Veneto" and "Studi Trentini". A Segarizzi's collection documents belongs to The Querini Library. The little city of Avio remebers its famous citizen naming the public library in 1974.
