Eric W. Allison teaches planning and historic preservation at the Pratt Institute, and is a principal of the Allison Group international consultancy. He is the founder of Pratt's historic preservation program, and has written widely on historic preservation and related topics. He is also the author of books in diverse other fields including Through the Valley of Death (1983) and Managing Up, Managing Down, both coauthored with his wife Mary Ann Allison, and Raiders of Wall Street (1999). He is a graduate of Shimer College, and holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University. (from Shimer College Wiki)
