Work Description
The book is a monograph on the life and work of South African artist Maggie Laubser (1886-1973), written by Johannes Petrus Meintjies, himself an artist, author and historian. It was written shortly after Meintjies became acquainted with Laubser's work in 1940 and they had become friends.
