Edition Notes
Letter of transmital to the speaker of the House of Representatives [Jonathan Trumbull] on p. [3] signed: Alexander Hamilton, secretary of the Treasury.
The petitioner, widow of General Nathanael Greene, sought indemnification for purchases made by her husband during the Revolution.
The copy reported by Evans evidently did not have the title page, which may explain the attribution to the press of John Fenno and the incorrect date.
Signatures: [A]² ([A]1, [A]2 versos blank) B-I² (I2 verso blank).
Rare Book Hamilton collection copy (HJ8105 1789 c.4): No. 6 in a bound volume of titles.
Evans 24936
English short title catalogue, W21925
