A flyer for the pamphlet by John Collins "Right and wrong among the abolitionists of the United States." A preliminary letter signed by John Murray and William Smeal, Secretaries to the Glasgow Emancipation Society, is followed by a letter from Harriet Martineau to the unnamed author of the pamphlet.

Letters dated "Glasgow, 5th March, 1841" (Murray and Smeal) and "Tynemouth, Northumberland, 27th Feb., 1841" (Martineau).
