About the Book

This is one of the finest books for children, boys and girls. Four children play with boats and have adventures where they live. They have their own names for the sites in the book. I read this when I was ten, and the cover mentioned that any child who reads this will be drawn to finish it. This is the first in a series; it takes place in England for the most part. When I was a child, I did not know what part of the country, but I do know that in one of them at least, there is mention of the Norfolk Broads, and would assume that these children live in East Anglia.
