Emmett Dalton

Emmett Dalton was best known for his brief career as an outlaw in the Old West. The "Dalton gang" was led by his older brother Bob. They robbed trains in the Indian Territory in 1891 and 1892. The end for the gang came on October 5, 1892, when they attempted to rob two banks in Coffeyville, Kansas. Emmett was the only member of the gang to survive. He spent 14½ years in Lansing prison, Kansas. After his release, he used moving pictures of the Coffeyville raid as a graphic example why crime does not pay.
