Updated documentation and findings of previous edition. Because there was a timeline - changing current events required the update to parallel the network television," World in Crisis."

Work Description

"World in Crisis" describes the computer turmoil existing the close of the 20th Century. It details the work that was done and the work remaining to be done in order to insure that computers would be fully operational. It's clear description and non-exaggerated discussion of the Y2K problem lead CBS and many in the media to credit the work as having positively influenced many businesses and organizations to do the computer repair that was need to their computer clocks. The book accurately predicts that most of the work will be completed but because of the costs, a recession will incur at or shortly following the year 2000. It also predicted that the computer upgrades done by most business would, in the long run; lead an extended period of prosperity early in the first decade of the 21st Century.
