Part of her job is to bring reading material to the inhabitants of rural areas, mounted on a mule in difficult terrain, she delivers books and periodicals to low-income residents.

A good-hearted doctor decides to protect her and help her, he begins an investigation to prove with scientific evidence why Cussy is blue, she agrees to undergo all kinds of tests to solve the mystery.

This novel is narrated in the first person with an idiom of the language, the author ingeniously describes the rejection behavior of a society that is afraid of things they do not understand, with a focus on fulfillment of personal fulfillment.

A story about Appalachia and the healing power of the written word.
