Table of Contents

1. Did God really say that?
Doubt, that insidious and insinuating thing that can ultimately lead to unbelief
Doubt concerning the blood of Genesis has caused many Christians to eventually distrust much of the rest of the Bible
2. The Genesis foundation.
This chapter basically summarizes the material in the book "The Lie: Evolution"
All major biblical doctrines, directly or indirectly, have their foundation in the book of Genesis
To understand Christianity fully, one has to believe and understand the book of Genesis
3. From darkness to light.
Opinion-oriented philosophy pervades our church today
People's opinions basically determine "truth"
We need a reformation in the church as in the days of Martin Luther
We must return to the proper foundation of our faith : the infallible, inerrant Word of God
4. The compromise road.
Theistic evolution, "gap theory," and other compromise positions have resulted from the attempts to Christians to reinterpret the Bible on the basis of the fallible theories of scientists
These compromise positions ultimately lead to destruction
5. Christianity is unique.
One cannot use science to prove the Bible is true
It does require faith to accept God's word, but it is not blind faith
There is plenty of evidence to substantiate this faith
The evidence for the global flood of Noah's day, the evidence for creation, the explanation of the races : the evidence overwhelmingly fits with what the Bible states
Christianity is not a blind faith
The evidence is real and convincing, at least to a person who does not willfully resist it
6. The path to destruction.
The bloodbath of the French Revolution resulted because of a foundation consistent with humanist reasoning had been laid down in society
About the same time, the nation of England saw Christian revival, because a different foundation had been built
Something akin to the French Revolution is occurring today in nations around the world, because the foundation of Christianity is being eroded
7. Foundation for family and nation.
Satan used the same method of creating doubt in Eve's mind as he did to create doubt about the book of Genesis
This doubt ultimately led to unbelief, and thus the destruction of the foundation of God's Word
The barrier against humanism was being destroyed
8. The erosion of Genesis.
The subtle undermining of Genesis was continued in earnest by James Hutton and Charles Lyell
Because of their work, the concept of "uniformitarianism" was popularized
They helped create an environment that paved the way for the acceptance of Charles Darwin's ideas
9. The pyramid effect.
Christian leaders, including many theologians, began to compromise between evolutionary ideas and the Bible
These leaders then taught their students, who eventually taught their own congregations, to compromise Genesis with evolution
Eventually, most of the church rejected a literal Genesis
10. The generation gap.
Scientists are now recognizing that they have no mechanism to explain how evolution works
What they say is something like, "We know evolution occurs, we just don't know how it occurs!"
They need an outside intelligence to explain life, but they won't entertain belief in the God of the Bible
However, they are allowing "New Age" mysticism as a substitute for God
11. Restoration, reconstruction and revival.
The church needs revival
Reconstruction of the Christian framework can happen only if the foundation for this framework is restored in society
Because of the compromise in the church, this restoration needs to start with God's people
Revival must begin in the church
The church needs to get back to Genesis
