Containing vegetable staticks, or, An account of some statical experiments on the sap in vegetables : being an essay towards a natural history of vegetation, of use to those who are curious in the culture and improvement of gardening, &c. : also a specimen of an attempt to analyse the air, by a great variety of chymio-statical experiments, which were read at several meetings before the Royal Society

Containing haemastatics, or, An account of some hydraulic and hydrostatical experiments made on the blood and blood-vessels of animals : also an account of some experiments on stones in the kidneys and bladder, with an enquiry into the nature of those anomalous concretions : to which is added an appendix, containing observations and experiments relating to several subjects in the first volume, the greatest part of which were read at several meetings before the Royal Society : with an index to both volumes (2nd ed., 1740).

Edition Notes

Vol. 1 is a rev. ed. of: Vegetable staticks. 1727.
Vol. 2 is designated: "The second edition, corrected," but according to the pref. (p. xxii) its "index is adapted to the second and third editions of the first volume."
Publisher statement of v. 2 omits J. Peele.
