Help

There are a few different ways to get help using Open Library, but really, the best way to get to know the place is to try searching for a book.

Some quick facts about Open Library you might not know:

  • You are welcome to edit/correct any errors or omissions you see on openlibrary.org - it's an open, editable wiki. (Just look for the "EDIT" button.)
  • We serve a catalog some 23 million books, but don't hold any books ourselves
  • We don't buy or sell books
  • We can't help put you in touch with authors or publishers
  • Our team isn't able to help you with research on titles you find in Open Library (yet?)

Please review our Frequently Asked Questions. We've tried to make them comprehensive and they are updated pretty often.
