Volume I (1879-1894) and volume II (1890-1891) contain verified copies of patents granted by the government of Canada to Thomas A. Edison and employees of his firm for improvements in incandescent lamps and methods of manufacture, fittings and fixtures, electric dynamo machines, electric railroads, and electrical generation and distribution systems; volume III (1885-1894) contains codes for insurance underwriters in the United States to create national standards for electrical construction and operation.
