Notes: With the money the poet made selling his 1st book - The Seasonal Lightning Rod - in bars (specifically The Chaudiere 'Chaud' Room in Aylmer, Quebec) he was able to publish this book. He would smuggle the books in his pants, sell them table to table, make enough money to get his pals in (again with smuggled books) and make enough to drink all night.
First sentence: I've been a long time coming, but I'm glad to say I've found a way home.
