Notes: Dated: Brooklyn-Hall, May 8th, 1781. "All horses to be entered at Mr. Loosley's (variously Loosely, Looseley) King's Head Tavern, on the race ground ... or at Mr. Loosley's Brooklyn Hall ..." The only known copy of this broadside, held by the American Antiquarian Society, is badly mutilated with partial loss of title, which has been supplied from examples of similar advertisements published by Charles Loosley in New York's loyalist newspapers in May 1781.
