From Aladipatti to NewDelhi -
A man whose oratorical skills were praised and Enjoyed by three Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu viz. Arignar Anna, Puratchi Thalivar M.G.Ramachandran and Kalaignar Karunanidhi.
He was Member of Parliament. He brought a Dissent note on the then Prime Minister Mr.Rajiv Gandhi on the Bofors Issue.
A very respected Educationalist . Has helped a great number of people in their education .
Never a slave for Power or Money. Man of great self respect and respected by others. He had great knowledge of world history from Winston churchill to Sialapathigaram . Humble and honest.
He lived for education and died for it.

The synopsis
"Shri Aladi Aruna alias V. Arunachalam passed away on the 31st December, 2004, at the age of 72 years.
Born at Aladipatty in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu in July, 1933, Shri Aladi Aruna had his education at West Tirunelveli High School, St. John’s College and Madras Law College.
Shri Aladi Aruna started his legislative career with the membership of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in 1967. He was again elected to that Assembly in 1971 and remained a member of it till 1976. He also served as the Chairman of the Public Undertakings Committee of the Assembly. Shri Aladi Aruna was elected to the Sixth Lok Sabha in 1977.
Shri Aladi Aruna represented the State of Tamil Nadu in this House from July, 1983 to July, 1989. He served as the Chairman of the Committee on Government Assurances, Rajya Sabha from 1986 to 1988.
Shri Aladi Aruna was also the Leader of the A.I.A.D.M.K. Group (I) in the Rajya Sabha from 1986 to 1989.
Shri Aladi Aruna was again elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in 1996 and had the distinction of serving as the Minister of Law in the Government of Tamil Nadu.
During his tenure he started the Law Unversity in Tamil Nadu. He iniated and overcame major hurdles in bringing High Court Bench in Madurai.
In the passing away of Shri Aladi Aruna alias V. Arunachalam, the country has lost an active social worker and an able Parliamentarian.
