Dr. José M. Aybar (b. 1941) is the president of Richard J. Daley College in Chicago. He received his BS from Shimer College in 1964, his MA from the Monterey Institute for International Studies in 1966, and his Ph.D. from the Claremont Graduate School in 1978. As an academic, he specialized in the history of Latin America and the Caribbean, and his works on that topic include Dependency and Intervention: The Case of Guatemala in 1954. He became president of Daley College in 2009, following a long and distinguished career in higher education administration. (from Shimer College Wiki)
